About Anita Hagen
Anita graduated from Alverno College with a degree in art and education. Since retirement, she has fully immersed herself in this wonderful adventure called art. She returned to the classroom to study new techniques, media, and more. Most of her work is watercolor, acrylic, and alcohol ink. The color intensity of alcohol ink is exciting. She has recently been revisiting oil painting. Her subject matter typically includes landscapes, animals, and portraits, although my most recent focus has been on animal portraits.
About Jan Wood:
Jan’s art obsession began with birdwatching with her family on road trips all over the U.S., taking photos of birds in Arizona, California, Florida, Texas, and even the boreal forest in northern Minnesota, searching (and finding) the great grey owl! Those photos became the inspiration for her artwork. Mainly self-taught, she did take classes, as well as teach them. Many of her paintings are in private collections throughout Wisconsin and the U.S., even Alaska! Her joy is creating original art for all who enjoy, like she does, our feathered friends.
Location: The Gallery is located near the main entrance to the Health Center at 3939 S. 92nd Street.
Hours: Open daily from 8:00am to 7:00pm.
